Pyro Spectaculars to Light Up America’s 250th Anniversary with 326 Fireworks Displays Coast to Coast

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

One of the nation’s largest fireworks companies will stage spectacular Independence Day shows from the Brooklyn Bridge to the Golden Gate Bridge in honor of the United States Semiquincentennial

RIALTO, Calif. — June 4th, 2026 — Pyro Spectaculars, one of the largest fireworks display companies in the country and a five-generation family business with more than 100 years of pyrotechnic artistry, today announced it will produce 326 spectacular fireworks displays across the United States over the Fourth of July holiday in celebration of America’s 250th anniversary.

From sea to shining sea, the displays will mark the nation’s Semiquincentennial with the largest coordinated Independence Day undertaking in the company’s century-long history. The shows will illuminate skylines, monuments, and waterfronts in communities large and small as the country commemorates 250 years of independence.

Among the most notable productions is the Macy*s 4th of July Fireworks in New York City — the nation’s premier Independence Day celebration — which this year will feature displays staged in New York harbor near the Statue of Liberty and the Brooklyn Bridge running up the East River with four barges and two additional barges on the Hudson River. Additional marquee shows include displays at Mount Rushmore National Memorial in South Dakota and the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco, three of the most recognizable landmarks in America.

“America’s 250th birthday is a once-in-a-generation moment, and we are honored to help the entire nation celebrate it in the sky,” said Michael Ingram, President, Pyro Spectaculars. “Producing 326 shows from coast to coast is an extraordinary undertaking, and there is no greater privilege than telling the story of America’s independence through the art of fireworks.”

The milestone reflects a legacy that began more than a century ago when Manuel de Sousa brought his family’s pyrotechnic traditions from Portugal to the San Francisco Bay Area. What started as a local family trade has grown into one of the largest fireworks companies in the country and one of the most respected names in global entertainment, with credits including the Olympic Games in Atlanta (1996), Salt Lake City (2002), and Athens (2004), numerous Super Bowls, and other live entertainment event spanning from concerts to live sporting events.

Guided by its signature philosophy, The Pyro Way™, the company brings together one of the largest rosters of seasoned pyrotechnic professionals in the country — representing an aggregate of more than 1,000 years of combined experience — alongside industry-leading safety protocols developed through its in-house training programs. Each production is assigned a dedicated Show Producer who coordinates with fire and regulatory agencies to ensure a flawless and safe celebration.

As the country gathers to honor 250 years of independence, Pyro Spectaculars invites Americans everywhere to look skyward this Fourth of July.
