West Sacramento, Calif. —

One of the biggest fireworks shows in Sacramento County that takes place on New Year’s Eve is gearing up for another big night.

“Without a doubt, Old Sacramento is the best place to come out and watch the display,” stated Pyro Spectaculars employee Matt Gilfillan. Pyro Spectaculars is the company that is responsible for providing pyrotechnics and fireworks for the Sky Spectacular.

The Sky Spectacular is an annual fireworks show that takes place in Old Sacramento. According to Gilfillan, there are more than 6,500 fireworks that are used in the show.

“We’re really excited to be back in Tower (Bridge) this year,” Gilfillan said.

He added that there comets and other multi shot devices will be performing up and over the water. There will also be a myriad of products that will be performing from the rooftop of the pilot house (located on top of the Tower Bridge).

The fireworks show starts at 8:45 p.m.
